A large international publicly traded company, is looking to acquire software businesses that provide mission critical software solutions to niche vertical markets, e.g., homebuilding, auto dealerships, small retail ERP, etc
The prospective buyer is a very experienced software company - last year acquired more than 20 companies all over the world, and for this year is expected to reach the same level of growth through acquisitions.
The existing shareholders (sellers) can either sell their business to liquidate their investments, or join the new team in executing a roll up plan in their core markets if the opportunity exists to do so.
The acquisition process is very straightforward.
The basic acquisition criteria are as follows:
• Niche vertical market software companies;
• Annual income: at least $3-million;
• Large base of customers (hundreds, not dozens).
The prospective buyer is an international provider of market leading software and services to a select number of industries, with an annual turnover of over US$500 million and more than 4,000 employees on three continents.
Their mission is to acquire, manage and build market-leading software businesses that develop specialized, mission-critical software solutions for some particular industries.
