Forest group of companies wants establishing a unit that converts biomass combustion (green sawdust and wood waste) into thermal energy (the capacity 6MW/h) and electricity (2.8 MW/h) and is located near a large sawmill dimensions.
Due to the complex processes carried out by the companies in the group and the intensive production forestry materials, electricity and heating will be distributed to these companies so there is definitely a real user.
The proposed cogeneration plant consists of:
• Installation of heat production for turbine operation - diathermic oil at high temperature;
• CO-generation unit producing steam and power asynchronous electric generator;
• Pipe coupling S.E.N. (National Power System), and electricity metering
• Heat exchanger oil / water for thermal power consumers themselves or others, mounted in parallel with a cooling facility for oil cooling resulting from the turbine generator power, the most important is the fact that the raw material not an impediment to the pursuit of such activities, raw materials can be obtained from a large number of suppliers.
Total project value amounts to approximately € 12 million, depending on the technology used, and can be accessed grant funding amounting to € 5.7 million.
The advantages of such a project are made safe a supplier of raw materials and a constant client can retrieve all energy consumed. Also, the raw material used in the cogeneration process is a low cost and raw material processing capacity is (real capacity of production) of 6.5 tons / hour, resulting in 6 MW (5.16 giga-calories) heat / hour and power 2.8 MW / hour.
The project is suitable for biogas cogeneration of energy and the company is already in negotiations with an investor to start such a process.
