South Korea and Romania open IT research center in Bucharest
The Ministry of Science in South Korea and Romania’s Ministry for Information Society opened an IT research center in Bucharest. Several projects are to be carried out here in the next three years, reports Yonhap news agency.
According to the agreement signed by the two ministries, the Bucharest-based research center will identify pilot projects in the IT sector and will further develop them. The two parties have agreed to each provide USD 1 million to finance such projects.
The key areas of focus will cover the expansion of broadband networks and the improvement of public key infrastructure (PKI) and information securities.
